JO 15129 Account Sales Representative

Manufacturer of high quality food-grade Tricalcium Phosphate (TCP) - An ingredient widely used as a calcium supplement in a variety of food, pharmaceutical, and animal feed products. TCP is also used as an anti-caking agent and has many other industrial applications.

Location:

Based on your home based office

Salary Range:

$65K base, + ˝ cents per lb commission (no cap) based on sales, + company car

Description:

The Sales Representative is a motivated professional that maintains customer relationships and solicits orders of existing customers.  Also, new customers are obtained and developed in line with sales objectives and strategic plans.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.       Maintains proficient knowledge of product line, pricing, production lead times, delivery time, shipping terms, and various marketing promotional services.

2.       Collaborates with internal colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies, product development, and marketing information.

3.       Researches and maintains current knowledge regarding new and existing products and monitors the sales, prices and products of competitors.

4.       Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, and other key personnel).

5.       Establishes credit with prospective customers by gathering pertinent information and handing off to Accounting for credit approval process.

6.       Secures orders from potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting by phone.                        

7.       Secures new opportunities to quote on customer requirements through internet research, trade journals, professional networking, and other means necessary.

8.       Follows up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.

9.       Logs all sales activity in appropriate computer software for reporting to Management.

10.   Support sales with trade show preparation and participation.

Qualifications:

1.       Undergraduate Degree in a related field preferred                      

2.       At least 3-5 years sales experience in manufacturing or chemical field.

3.       Willingness to travel and ability to drive company and/or personal automobile.

4.       Microsoft Office skills with ability to compose correspondence
