JO 15329 Account Sales Director – Boston Area

Seasoning company specializing in Savory Liquid Seasonings, Sauces, Marinades, blends, coatings, bakery and dough systems, and functional ingredients.

Location:

Boston Area

Salary Range:

$115-125K to start, bonus program + additional uncapped incentive, car, laptop, phone, full benefits, which include Medical, Dental, Disability, Cash Retirement/Stock Ownership/401K, Education Assistance, etc.

Summary:

Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Sales, the Account Directors will be expected to manage established customers and develop new business through a solutions strategy generating growth across all product lines.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Develops and implements the territory’s strategic and tactical sales plans to accommodate corporate and regional goals.

·         Consistently delivers the territory’s sales revenue and margin targets.

·         Leads and communicates territory’s forecast and margin, resource needs, and client communication.

·         Develops and implements territory’s long-term customer and product strategies.

·         Utilizes strategic and conceptual selling.

·         Represents the company at trade association meetings, customer conventions, and trade shows to promote this company.

·         Delivers sales presentations to key clients.

·         Meets with key clients maintaining multi-functional relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

·         Participates in company initiatives and task forces as needed.

·         Analyzes and controls expenditures of territory to conform to budgetary requirements.

·         Develops and maintains top-level multi-functional relationships within territory’s customer base.

·         Effectively develops and presents proposals to improve overall sales performance.

·         Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

·         Works with Marketing and Inside Sales to compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.

·         Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers on a consistent basis. On average, spends 3 to 4 days per week directly calling on customers.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in a technical field of study; Food Science a plus.
  • MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of custom food ingredient sales experience
