Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and working directly with the National Sales Manager of the Brew Division and Division Sales Managers, the Product Line Manager-Brew will emphasize development of specific and measurable market objectives, strategies, and action plans. The Product Manager will articulate the distinctive competence of the product line's unique advantage and devise management strategies accordingly. A good portion of the time will be spent on providing and updating a forecasting model for the various malting production facilities. Other responsibilities include performing qualitative and quantitative research regarding management, trends, productivity, sales and profitability. The Product Line Manager-Brew is responsible for the technical welfare of the company's product line by assessing the ongoing technology that defines all the features of the product line to ensure improved sales and profitability.




Manages the entire product line life cycle of the Brew Division which includes Commercial Breweries, Home Brewing and Distilling businesses.

Manages a forecasting model and implements changes and updates for production purposes.

Manages CRM related information: list prices, contract pricing, new products / items; monthly forecasts; floor stock agreements, expired product reports; and manages change process.

Tracks market requirements for both current and future product line by means of market research.

Analyzes partner relationships for the product line.

Emphasizes development of specific and measurable market objectives, strategies, and action plans.

Develops product positioning and messaging that differentiates and defines the Briess portfolio in the market.

Plans launch of new products & manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

Communicates the value proposition of the products to the sales network by working with the National Sales Manager and Marketing Communications Manager to develop the sales tools that support the selling process.

Develops individual divisional strategic marketing plans for the product line through market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement and business planning.

Drives resolution of customer satisfaction issues; manages issues associated with supply chain logistics, including manufacturing supply; technical and customer service requests, and off-site centers.

Duties include developing sales programs and collateral information that communicates the company’s market and product line differentiators. Develops expertise on brewing customers.





B.S. / B.A. in Business, Marketing with an MBA preferred, and a minimum of two years of marketing, sales, and forecasting experience preferred. Must have excellent analytical skills and have working experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Access is desirable.
