JO 15373 Corp. Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Opportunity with Innovative, Custom Value-added, growing Ingredient/Flavor company with strategic growth  in the Industrial,  Food Service, Custom Consumer Contracting, & other Specialty  manufacturing areas.  Opportunity for the right person to take the reins of this group and show what you can do. Must have previous Sales Management experience & full P&L responsibility. This is an Executive  level corp.  position but also requires  a “hands-on, loves working in the trenches” approach.

Location:

Based from Corp. Headquarters in the WI/IL/Great Lakes area

Salary Range:

$215K+ base + 40% bonus / Incentives. Base could be more depending on your experience.   Relocation Package provided if needed.

Summary:

Develops policies, procedures and objectives for the sales of the company's products and/or services, optimizes Sales, Marketing and Customer Service departments' performance by leading, managing and developing their teams.

Position reports to the President/CEO

Direct reports are:  5 Divsion Leaders or Directors of  Sales, Marketing, & Customer Service

Goals  are to continue to grow the sales success this Company has had and to further increase their presence with their customers and the marketplace in general

Improve the sales organization and the sales processing systems to ensure significant and measureable improvements in the productivity of our sales efforts.”

Build a performance-based environment through talent development and mentoring systems. Further evolve the cross-functional teams that are supporting this company’s   three key divisions, Consumer, Industrial Ingredients, and Protein

Develop go-to-market strategies with a customer-driven focus that are building blocks for the sales & marketing team

Responsibilities:

1. Develops the sales and marketing strategic and tactical plans.

2. Provides leadership, talent development, training, management plus sales and marketing.

3. Helps develop, train and mentor division leads and establish training programs.

4. Coordinates field sales and efforts to enhance ability of sales personnel to work effectively and meet goals.

5. Establishes and maintains contact with potential customers and actively participates in selling efforts to support key accounts and a high level of sales.

6. Develops and manages departmental budgets.

7. Effectively communicates in all levels of the organization in a leadership role.

8. Effectively handles difficult and sensitive employee or customer relations.

9. Represents the company as a spokesperson, acting as the "voice and face" in industry representation and public relations.

10. Is a contributing executive team member in the development and execution of the strategic and tactical plans.

11. Strives to increase profitability through effective business management including financial management, margin management, pricing policies and budgeting.

12. Travels as needed.

13. Attends industry trade shows.

14. Works with marketing to establish trade, communication platforms and goals.

15. Establishes external communication strategies with marketing.

16. Performs other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of direct sales force management,

10 years of food manufacturing experience, 5 years of senior management experience,     and 5 years of profit-and-loss responsibility.

A proven track record of marketing leadership, successful consultative selling to executive level customers, and marketing leadership.

Experience in creating sales systems, with strategic and tactical planning experience.

Continuous education in areas of marketing, industrial applications, food science and food manufacturing technology.

Additional Skills:

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent team work/ management skills.

Physical Demands:

This position requires travel.

Working Conditions:

Normal front office environment with occasional exposure to hazards of an industrial environment including noise, dust, hazardous materials, machinery and lift equipment.
