JO 15443 General Manager – Cheese Plant



Salary Range:



General Manager needed for a food (dairy) manufacturing facility located in the southwest.



·         Responsible for oversight of manufacturing activities.

·         Maximize operations profitability through efficient use of raw materials, labor availability and control of overhead costs.

·         Partner with Senior Management to improve plant throughput, packaging quality and operations efficiency.

·         Work with Safety and Quality Assurance teams to drive Food Safety and Safety initiatives at plant level. Provide leadership, direction, guidance and support to management teams and plant personnel.

·         Interface with plants, engineering and management groups to create capital projects to lower costs and implement manufacturing efficiency improvements.

·         Ensure compliance of production operations in accordance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.

·         Direct the overall progressive goals and objectives to monitor plant’s progress.

·         Monitor routine manufacturing practices to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

·         Enable scalability to achieve budgeted goals for meeting quality, cost, and fulfillment objectives.

Required Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience.

·         Minimum of five (5) years management experience in food manufacturing or processing. Experience in successfully leading, coaching, motivating and developing a team in a "hands on" environment.

·         Strong food safety, customer and quality focus, communication skills, interpersonal skills and strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

·         Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative, and work well under pressure.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), etc.
