Summary:

The Companyís plant is where we produce a variety of 20+ different high quality European inspired specialty cheeses. The plant manager is not only responsible for the overall operations of the plant but acts as the promoter of our products in front of customers touring the facility. We pride ourselves on having a collaborative environment, where we strive together to maintain our leader position in specialty cheese production.

Responsibilities:

         Direct and manage the daily operations of the plant with a focus on quality and safety.

         Develop efficiency strategies to ensure the plant meets production goals at minimal manufacturing costs.

         Promote Operational Excellence throughout the facility.

         Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets and capital expenditures for plant operations; meets or exceeds budget.

         Oversee team responsible for maintaining the existing plant facilities and equipment: replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.

         Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.

         Coach, motivate, and engage employees in all aspects of operations to support the Company culture.

         Responsible for employee development, performance management, and staffing.

         Collaborate with all levels of the organization including plant employees, support functions, and the executive leadership team.

         Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws such as OSHA and FDA.

Requirements:

         Bachelorís degree in dairy, business or related field.

         5+ years supervisory or management experience in the food industry; dairy or cheese industry ideal.

         Experience with manufacturing processes and continuous improvement; knowledge of lean methodology preferred.

         Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and preparing capital expenditures.

         Proven ability to lead and develop teams to deliver results.

         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

         Collaborative management style and excellent organizational skills.

         Demonstrated leadership in employee safety, continuous improvement and KPI achievement.

         Project Management skills. Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
