JO 15481 Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager

Salary Range:



Plans, coordinates, and directs the Company’s quality control and assurance programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards and keeps Company management briefed on the implications of proposed changes to such codes and standards.

·         Develops, documents, and manages vendor-oriented quality standards, programs, and audits.

·         Develops, documents, and manages the quality standards, programs, and procedures for all aspects of the Company’s production activities (receipt of raw materials, manufacturing, packaging, storage, and shipping) and products.

·         Supports the plant operations group in the area of quality assurance, quality control, and food safety, including all quality-oriented training

·         Monitors and reports on compliance with QA and food safety standards

·         Investigates, resolves, and reports on customer complaints regarding product quality.

·         Handles quality-oriented interaction with government regulatory authorities.

·         Initiates and manages a program for continuous quality improvement, including analysis of quality issues, plans for corrective actions, changes in procedures, and employee training.

·         Conducts and documents audits of the Company’s compliance with its quality standards, programs, and procedures, and reports to Company management regarding the outcomes; manages third-party audits of the Company’s quality standards and programs and compliance therewith.

·         Plans and manages the disposition of nonconforming products.


Education/ Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 3-4 years GMP-related and QA/QC experience.

·         Must possess excellent verbal communication, organizational and management skills


Technical/ Computer Skills:

·         Must be able to implement quality programs, interpret the collected data, and present the data to management to drive continuous improvement.

·         Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Training or equivalent experience in computer use and software-Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.


Certificates and Licenses:

Certification/training in current Good Manufacturing Practices and/or HACCP is a plus.
