JO  15504 Maintenance Manager



Salary Range:



Primary job function is to maintain plant equipment so that it may produce a safe and wholesome quality product in a cost efficient manner. Promote team management and employee morale.

Primary Duties:

·         Provide for supervisory control of parts inventory, preventive maintenance schedules and daily consumables usages.

·       Experience in stainless steel sanitary welding, and knowledgeable of PLC programming and troubleshooting.

·       Assist with project planning and equipment installations

·       Work with Quality Manager in assuring microbiological control of products, processing, packaging, handling, and storage.

·       Provide immediate attention and notification to any observed operational loss.

·       Plan and assign work scheduling.  Develop a production schedule that provides for inspection and maintenance of process equipment at proper intervals.

·       Request outside support as needed.

·       Revise and enforce procedures to improve safety and to minimize product loss.

·         Ensure OSHA compliance.

·       Assist in the hiring, training, and development of staff.

·       Serves on various committees, i.e., Safety, Strategic Planning etc.

·      Must maintain MSDS sheets.



·       Must maintain a complete set of tools. 

·       Must be able to understand the budgeting process.

·       Must have maintenance skills on electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, welding,        and refrigeration. 

·         Excellent attention to detail and reasoning skills.

Communication Requirements:


·      Written and verbal communication skills needed to work with other engineers or suppliers.

·       Knowledgeable of Excel and other computer skills needed. 

Education and/or Experience:

A minimum of 4 years industrial maintenance experience.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion, able to work in cold environments and confined spaces.

Time or Shift Requirements:

Must be available as needed.
