Salary Range:

To $120K base + commission (uncapped) + $800/mo car allowance + mileage/tolls etc.


Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales and gross margin growth for the Food / Food Ingredient markets. Incumbent will strategically manage assigned key customers and technically sell benefits of the Company’s products both to current and new accounts. Position has a direct impact as the Company’s primary point of contact regarding sales and liaison with customers in these Food & Ingredient markets. Position reports to the Business Director of Food / Food Ingredients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Create, manage, and attain the annual sales and gross margin budget for accounts assigned.
  2. Develop customer base and monitor customer satisfaction through regular visits and other contact media. Provide customers with product technical support and train customers in the safe and efficient use of company products.
  3. Influence competitor’s customers to use company products and document any conversions to the Food & Biofuel business.
  4. Develop, manage, and train distribution network where applicable and recommend changes to distribution network when necessary.
  5. Provide feedback to product manager on product performance and new product opportunities.
  6. Provide feedback to the Food & Biofuel team on the disposition and quality of leads generated from advertisements, product releases, trade shows, and other promotions.
  7. Gather competitive pricing data and provide feedback to product managers and business director.
  8. Prepare and provide call reports and quarterly presentations for current or new business activity, new products, and other relevant marketing or competitive information.
  9. Assist accounting and customer service in collection activities.
  10. Willingness to travel approximately 30% to 60%

6.       Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

7.     Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems and to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Work Environment:

The incumbent must be able to travel extensively by automobile and commercial airliner to visit customers and potential customers. Long hours may frequently be necessary and incumbent must be able to work well under pressure and often at a sustained, intense pace.
