Summary:


The company is searching for a motivated Quality Assurance Supervisor with a strong background in the food industry. The supervisor will report to the Director of Technical Services and is responsible for overseeing and developing our current team of Quality Assurance Technicians and Food Safety Officers. This position is involved in all aspects of managing the QA staff, maintaining and improving aspects of the food safety/quality program and ensuring we produce the safest and highest quality product available. This is a perfect position for someone to help develop/implement programs and be a part of a process where their contribution matters.

Duties &
Responsibilities:

 

  Implement, Update and Monitor Quality/Food Safety programs

  Conduct/Oversee Daily/Weekly Microbiological Testing

  Supervise and Manage QA Technicians schedule and duties

  Assist in maintaining BRC Certification

  Train all facility personnel on policies/procedures relating to HACCP, SSOP, GMP, BRC and SOP's.

  Maintain a high level of employee engagement in Quality/Food Safety.

Preferred
Requirements:

 

  At least three (3) years of food industry experience

  Ability to work in Hot/Cold Environments

  BRC or SQF experience a plus

  HACCP Certified

  Written/Verbal communication skills

  Ability to multi-task

  Ability to work with little supervision
