JO 15595 Sales Manager – Specialty Food Stabilizers Baking Industry

Supplier of specialty value-added ingredients such as stabilizers, hydrocolloids & dry mixes to food manufacturers in the Baking & the Refrigerated Prepared Foods Industry.

Location:

Corp Office based in the western Oakbrook suburb of Chicago, IL. 

This role cannot be remote office based. Relocation Package provided.

Salary Range:

Competitive base salary, bonus eligibility and full company benefits, including health and life insurance, dental, 401K, and a company-paid pension plan.

Summary:

Our Client currently has an excellent opportunity in a fast growing company for a top notch Sales Manager with a Regional & National Customer Account base.

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sales and market expansion of the company’s product line through new business and product development, analyzing market trends, competitive analysis and maintaining their current customer base with an exceptional level of service.

 Position reports to the President/CEO & Executive VP.

Responsibilities & Duties:

·         Maintain current customer base with exceptional level of service.

·         Work to establish add-on business to maximize product lines with existing customers.

·         Establish new business opportunities with potential customers.

·         Responsible for all aspects of technical sales and on-site application work with baked goods and prepared food manufacturers.

·         Participate in the new product development and annual budgeting processes.

·         Participate in industry related associations and trade shows.

·         30-45% travel, mostly USA but also expansion into Canada, UK, Europe.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field

·         5+ years of technical sales experience in specialty bakery ingredients, stabilizers or gums.

·         Self-motivation, a high level of integrity and a solid work ethic are required.

·         Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to manage and organize multiple projects.

·         Possess a strong proficiency for computers, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
