Salary Range:

Competitive compensation (six figure base + 30% bonus potential).

Reports to:

Vice President of Operations

Summary:

The Production Mgr/Dir is responsible for monitoring incoming work orders, raw materials inventory, production status, and product shipments to ensure timely, efficient and cost effective delivery of products to the customer. 

Newly created position – This person will manage the day-to-day activities of the Production Manager, Process Supervisor, Purchasing Specialist, and potentially Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the daily operations of the production facility and ensure production goals are met
  • Manage supply chain, production scheduling, shipping and logistics for all customer orders
  • Identify and execute improvements in material/labor/overhead costs, production efficiencies and customer satisfaction, and develop metrics that are tied to operational and financial performance
  • Oversee implementation of capital expenditure projects including investments in facility improvements, packaging capabilities and new technologies
  • Strive for maximum efficiency in plant operations, support operations through creative problem solving, adaptation, and working with all departments to correct problems
  • Coordinate all new product introductions into the manufacturing production schedule
  • Provide feedback to production supervisors and employees as to whether production goals are met
  • Responsible for maintaining food safety, employee safety, quality standards and Customer specifications
  • Report any food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Operations

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

 

  • 5-10 years of experience in a Food or Beverage production environment

 

  • Must be familiar with high volume production scheduling techniques - MRP.  Thorough knowledge of supply chain, production planning and accounting required

 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with employees, management, support staff and vendors.

 

  • Professional corporate/interpersonal communication skills required

 

  • General computer skills required
