Location:

Wausau / Stevens Point area of Wisconsin.                                                                                  Centrally located between Wausau and Green Bay in the heart of Central Wisconsin, this quiet rural Northwood’s tranquil setting and excellent quality of life has attracted many new residents to the area.

Salary Range:

To $65 - $70K

Summary:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor role will proactively ensure that the Quality and Food Safety Systems set forth meet or exceed the standards to provide brand consistency and protection. They will maintain a close rapport with both the Quality and Production teams to identify, solve, and prevent problems affecting quality. This role will pay particular attention to assist in many of the specialized tasks within the QA department as identified below.

Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:

       Lend supervision, support, and oversight to daily activities associated with Quality Assurance. The QA supervisor will serve as the primary point of contact for hourly QA personnel, production, logistics, maintenance, and sanitation teams in order to obtain resolution of day to day issues. 

       Organize and assign the daily work of QA Technicians and Auditors in order to ensure adherence to company performance goals and objectives.

       Assist in management of food safety programs in all areas of production plant including (GMP’s, SOP’s, SSOP’s, and HACCP)

       Build and manage an active internal quality audit program in compliance with companies, FSIS/USDA, and BRC requirements.

       One of the primary objectives of this role is to manage systems, programs, & procedures in order to ensure brand and product consistency. This will require a broad knowledge of statistical process control factors, quality processes, product and material specifications, and production applications.

       Assist in reviewing and developing Quality metrics and KPIs and communicating these to the manufacturing plant team.

       Provides regular training, instruction, and guidance and maintains close surveillance over testing and inspection procedures to ensure the success of company team members involved in the regular inspection of finished parts, products, or raw materials.

       Assist in development of working instructions and procedures of both current and new tasks.

       Review ingredient COAs to specification limits to ensure compliance of incoming materials. Perform periodic sampling of incoming ingredients to verify accuracy of COAs.

       Oversee and maintain the Product and Supply Hold program. 

       Fill-in as a replacement for other absent Quality Assurance team members

       Occasional weekend work as part of QA team rotation

       All other duties as assigned

Other:

The position will require that the supervisor’s time will be split with approximately 50% of the time spent on the production floor and 50% in the office for meetings, record reviews, and assisting in developing/updating programs and procedures.
