Midwest based from your home office (Chicago or KS City based preferred, but anywhere within ND, SD, NE, KS, MO, IA, MN is acceptable)

Salary Range:

$competitive base salary + 30% bonus potential + car or car allowance.

The Account Manager will act as product expert, selling value added Natural Ingredients to major Food & Beverage processors while managing and expanding sales growth in the assigned territory.  The Account Manager will work with the Sales Director Midwest Region to outline actionable competitive intelligence in the Food & Beverage and dairy industries. 


         Management /Responsibility of select Food & Beverage Accounts

         Call prospective and established customers.

         Keep customers informed about available services, supplies, prices and new products.

         Responsible for meeting established sales quotas.

         Monitors competitive activity and trends within territory.

         Propose natural ingredients development projects with supporting business case.

         Keeps records and prepares reports on sales activities.

         Travel to customer location to follow up or to make presentations or perform demonstrations. 

         Must be knowledgeable of features, benefits and use of products.

         Must have complete knowledge of selling techniques and ability to close sales.

         Prepare periodic business reviews for designated accounts.

         Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate company goals.

         Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

         Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.

         Interact with marketing to assure beverage product collateral support and promotional activities are optimized.

         Work closely with other departments such as Innovation, Applications and Customer Service.

         Interact with others in the beverage industry to promote collaborative business relationships resulting in alliances in product development and placement.

         Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.

         Delivers sales presentations to key clients.

         Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
