Responsibilities:

Some of the Major Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise quality assurance team – Organize and prioritize the team members tasks to assure efficient and affective inspection.
  • Conduct Employee Training – Train employees in a classroom setting including:  teach proper Good Manufacturing Practices, health, safety, operations and conscious business.
  • Acts as the Internal audit team leader.
  • Process evaluation and verification— Evaluate quality inspections and process documentation performed by others.  Verify results with independent testing.  Document results.
  • Review production processes and establish documented procedures.
  • Implement quality control inspections where needed at key process steps.
  • Product Sampling—Perform routine organoleptic evaluation of product at pack out.
  • Returned Product / Complaint Evaluation—Investigate root cause of complaints.  Maintain complaint/returned product documentation.
  • Receiving Inspection—Check key attributes of incoming raw materials and packaging.
  • Qualification / Calibration of Measuring and Testing Equipment—Test equipment against known standards at assigned frequencies.
  • Document results of inspections using computer database.  Produce reports at assigned frequencies.

Qualifications:

·         3 yrs experience as a Manager/Supervisor required.

·         Bachelor’s degree plus 1 yr. of related experience; or HS diploma or equivalent + 5 yrs. industry experience. 

·         HACCP Certified.

·         Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills.

·         Detailed oriented and organizational skills are a must. 

·         Prior QA experience in a manufacturing plant and experience working in food environment are a plus.
