direction of the Production Manager, the Process Supervisor oversees a team
of 2 Batching Operators performing batching and processing functions.
Responsibilities include supervising daily batching
& logistical operations and personnel, developing and analyzing reports,
making operational changes, acting as the interface between R&D and
Production, and ensuring production targets and metrics are
met for the function(s).
Typical working hours : 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or even 6:00 AM - 3:00
schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the
batching and processing areas, to ensure products are produced within
the Company’s quality specifications and in alignment with the
daily production schedule, take corrective action as needed, to ensure
schedule is completed as planned.
evaluate processes and methods; recommend ways to improve production
methods, equipment, performance, utilization of people, quality of
product and all logistical facets.
as the interface between the R&D and production areas to ensure the
products meet all required standards.
- Ensures compliance with department policies and
procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ensures production schedules, quality
initiatives, safety targets, efficiency metrics, and other operational
measurements are met for the function(s).
- May monitor production instruments, equipment,
and schedules to ensure product is processed according to specifications
- Assists with reviewing and coordinating general
plant operations with shipping, scheduling, inventory management, and sales
activities by reviewing reports and operations and other information as
required or directed
- Supervises staff to include hiring, training,
evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and
determining disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Works with other plant supervisors or
management to review production quality, safety, and other operations,
implement department activities, and solve operational problems.
as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze
and resolve work problems, and assist workers in solving work problems.
with Production Manager to establish department goals and action plans
to achieve goals.

accident investigations and identify areas where potential near-miss
and identify cross training needs, to improve workforce flexibility and
develop and carry out plans to increase cross training of department
that Production-related documentation is completed; properly,
accurately, and timely.
Production Manager in developing and achieving Production Department
- Responsible for maintaining food safety,
employee safety, quality standards and Customer specifications.
- Report any food safety problems to personnel
with authority to initiate action.
