Summary:

Seeking a highly experienced Dairy Production Manager to take on the responsibility of overseeing our ice cream plant activities in order to meet business objectives. The successful candidate will be accountable for all aspects of our dairy plant performance, and will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that is consistent with SQF quality requirements. He or she will also delegate authority to key supervisors in production, manage all functions involved and direct and coordinate operations for the processing plant.

 

Responsibilities:

        Manage daily production and sanitation shifts in our plant facility.

         Follow and enforce HACCP safety and efficiency of the facility.

         Test and monitor plant processes.

         Remain in compliance with facility ISO standards and all HSE guidelines.

         Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports.

         Maintain administrative records.

         Control costs to achieve company budget goals.

         Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.

 

Skills:

         4 year degree in Food Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Dairy management or related field, or combination of experience and education preferred.

         Minimum of three (3) years Plant Management experience in a dairy processing operation.

         Experience with GMP, Safe Quality Foods (SQF), Environmental, Safety, and Employment Standards regulatory requirements.

         Strong background in C.I.P. & ammonia based cooling systems.

         Ability to perform mix calculations with computerized production and scheduling.

         Proficient with MS Office.

         Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting.

         Excellent communication skills.

 

Previous history of implementing and administering these policies in the dairy industry with an ability to work with both our Food Engineer/Production Planner and Quality Control Manager are preferred.
