Salary Range:

$75K - $90K


We are currently seeking qualified applicants for an immediate opening for a Senior Compliance Manager.

Under the supervision of the QA Director, this position will lead the team with the continuous development and maintenance of our Food Safety programs and policies to comply with SQF (Safe Quality Food), Regulatory (FDA & WDATCP), and Customer Requirements.

Job Duties &

A.      Compliance with Food Safety Requirements

a.       Ensure all Operations Departments and Personnel comply with State (WDATCP) and Federal (FDA) Food Safety Regulations.

b.      Lead all food safety regulatory (WDATCP & FDA), SQF, and Customer Audits of our facilities.

                                                               i.      Determine and submit corrective actions when required. 

c.       Implement necessary programs as required for Food Safety Modernization Act and oversee maintenance of these programs throughout Operations.

d.      Oversee the maintenance, verification, and validation of the HACCP/Food Safety Plans and all SQF Programs to comply with the appropriate modules of the SQF Code.

                                                               i.      Serve as the SQF Practitioner per the SQF Code

e.      Review and adhere to Customer specific food safety manuals and expectations.

f.        Continuously evaluate and drive improvement of our Food Safety programs.

g.       Perform Internal Inspections and Audits.

h.      Test our Traceability and Recall Programs by performing product traceability exercises and mock product recalls.

i.         Maintain all Internal Food Safety Teams (i.e. HACCP, Business Continuity/Crisis Management, Internal Audit, etc.).

j.        Plan and execute/oversee execution of required Employee Food Safety Training Meetings.

k.       Other duties as assigned.

B.      Compliance with Employee Safety Requirements 

a.       Ensure all Departments and Personnel comply with Federal Employee Safety Regulations (OSHA).

b.      Follow-up on all Incident/Injury Reports and maintain proper files per Incident.

c.       Submit Workers’ Compensation claims to Insurance Company and maintain log of all Workers’ Compensation claims per year.

d.      Maintain OSHA logs per OSHA regulations.

e.      Maintain Driver Qualification Files for CDL Drivers per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.

f.        Perform annual DMV Background Screenings for all Drivers on Company Driver Schedule (per Insurance Company).

g.       Implement and maintain Driver Safety Policies.

h.      Actively participate in and help plan Internal Employee Safety Teams and meetings.

i.         Help plan and execute/oversee execution of required Employee Safety Training Meetings.

j.        Other duties as assigned.


C.      Employee Training Programs

a.       Continue to develop, lead, improve, and evaluate employee training programs.

b.      Oversee record maintenance for all employee training records.

c.       Assist Department Managers with New Employee Orientation Programs as needed.

Work Experience Requirements:   

-          Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a food manufacturing/packaging plant preferred.

-          Experience with different departments of a manufacturing/packaging plant helpful.

Education Requirements:

-          High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

-          Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, &

-          HACCP Certification.

-          SQF Certificate.

-          Preventive Controls Qualified Individual Certification.

-          OSHA 10-Hour Certification for General Industry.
