JO 15799 Director of Quality



Salary Range:



         Manage 6 QC Technicians, 1 Product Development Manager, and 1 Food Scientist.

         Ensure compliance to quality control testing.

         Investigate quality issues and find a resolution.

  • Plant trouble shooting of product and process issues.

         Review lab data for accuracy.

         Generate COAs for outgoing shipments to customers.

         Responsible for Lab Technicians training and accuracy procedures.

         Responsible for disposition of Hold and Rework products.

         Responsible for Product Development ensure projects are being completed in a timely manner and are correct when going to customer.

  • Provide technical support for the Sales and Marketing team and travel to customers for technical assistance as necessary, as well as attending technical/trade conferences.

         Help with product development when needed.

         Responsible for activities involving formulation and manufacturing instruction.

         Develop and maintain proper specification documentation.

         Work with new and existing customers to develop new or improve existing products.

         Responsible for purchasing new lab equipment.

         Work with Vanessa on nutritional labeling.

  • Review and approve new package labels.

         Work with Sales, QA, and PD to ensure new packaging is correct and used with correct formula.

         Work with ingredient suppliers when issues arise in formulations.

         Write Mill Mixes for the flour mill with the help of the grain elevator manager.

         Manage new wheat crop information, x-mill and Farinograph data.

         Purchase lab supplies.
