Summary:

The Company is a global supplier of fragrances, flavorings, cosmetic base materials and substances as well as functional ingredients. Its clients include manufacturers of perfumes, cosmetics, food and beverages, the pharmaceutical industry and producers of nutritional supplements and pet Food.

Responsibilities:

·         Develop novel flavors within set commercial guidelines, which are suitable for the North American market fitting the technical parameters for required stability in the application as well as preference by targeted consumers observing regulatory requirements and customer restrictions.

·         Evaluate newly developed flavors with Savory team for customer briefs; and interact with the team to enable the Company to offer the best possible option with greatest chances to win and be adopted as a new flavor, resulting in new business.

·         Oversee the flavor blending and application work performed by Laboratory Assistants.

·         Coordinate flavor development for multinational projects with colleagues in other flavor developing locations, especially Germany.

·         Evaluate and introduce new raw materials / flavor bouquet notes suitable for Savory flavors and the market of North America and beyond.

·         Identify desirable technologies or effects related to the performance of flavors, mouth-feel sensations, or other benefits adding value in the “and” product philosophy. Introducing newly available and/or existing technologies to our clients.

·         Actively participate in customer presentations, workshops and other functions related to the Savory flavor industry which includes travel and mobility.

·         Efficiently communicate information within the Local and Global Savory BUs on issues concerning our clients, projects and market relevant info on technologies and flavors ingredients. Objective is to strengthen our local and global team effort.

 

Other Functions:

Assist in Sensory Quality Control evaluation of raw materials and/or finished flavors upon request.

 

Knowledge/
Experience:

Sr. Savory Flavorist
Advanced Science Degree & SFC Certification.
Minimum 7-10 years experience creating Savory flavors.
Certified Member or the Society of Flavor Chemist.
Excellent communication skills.
SAP, Analytical, Office Suites.
Background in Savory flavor development.

 

Alternative Plant Protein/Dairy Flavorist
Advanced Science degree & SFC Certification.
Minimum of 5-7 years experience creating flavors.
Certified Member of the Society of Flavor Chemist or certification in progress.
Excellent communication skills.
SAP, Analytical, Office Suites.
Background in Plant Protein flavor development.
Background in Dairy flavor development.
