Location:

Based from Your Home Office with the ability to be at Midwest Corp headquarters as needed.

Salary Range:

$ Competitive Base salary + “uncapped” Bonus, Car, Co. Benefits, 401K, etc.

 

Reports To:

Director, Industrial Ingredients

 

Summary:

Serves customers by selling products; meeting customer needs within a specified region of the country. Serves the Company by increasing profitability and market presence consistent with divisional and company strategies.  This is a growing and progressive manufacturer of custom flavor systems and food technologies.

 

Essential
Functions:

1.       Services new and existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers with specified region across a variety of food and related markets.

2.       Manages administrative tasks including price quote requests, commercialization process, and customer follow up.

3.       Works closely with customer care, R&D, operations, and sales management.

4.       Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analyses.

5.       Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

6.       Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

7.       Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.

8.       Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.

9.       Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales with Company CRM.

10.   Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

11.   Up to 50% over night travel required.

Education/
Experience:

 

BA/BS degree in related major and at least 5 years related industrial food/flavor ingredient sales experience required.  

Must also have demonstrated success in:

Customer service, meeting sales goals, closing skills, territory management, prospecting  skills, negotiation,selfconfidence, product knowledge, presentation skills client relationships, and motivation for sales.  

MS Office proficiency including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint required.

Technical selling, CRM/MS SharePoint, specialty sales experience preferred.  

 

Quality:

Must possess, demonstrate and follow all instructions, procedures and guidelines set forth in all applicable department policies to assure continued quality product is produced.

 

Physical
Demands:

This position requires up to 50% travel.

Working Conditions:

Home office based with participation at company events including audits, plant tours, culinary work sessions, and production areas required from time to time
