Summary:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing maintenance budget and resources, and assisting in the design and installation of new systems. In addition, this position is responsible for managing and supervising multiple shifts of Maintenance Supervisors and mechanics.

Minimum
Required
Qualifications:

The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

         High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelorís degree in Engineering is preferred.

         Minimum 5 years of operations and/or maintenance management in a food manufacturing environment.

         Safety management and risk management experience with an ammonia refrigeration system preferred.

         Exceptional interpersonal skills.

         Exceptional Computer skills and knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

         Strong knowledge/experience managing maintenance through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

         Strong background in HAACP, safety, and GMP.

         Must have well developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects.

         Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.

         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

         Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

         Ability to work cooperatively with others.

         Ability to work all assigned work schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, and comply with all time and attendance policies.

         Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.

 

Essential Job
Functions:

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

         Directly and indirectly supervise associates, including monitoring associate performance and providing input on corrective actions; work objectives and their effectiveness and realigning the department as needed.†

         Direct the recruiting, screening and hiring of associates.

         Perform maintenance management by supervising maintenance personnel and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules.

         Maintain manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and manages the department budget.

         Manage maintenance personnel by setting direction and priorities.

         Drive the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance; Reduce reactive maintenance tasks.

         Perform other duties by coordinating work with outside inspections, providing project management, ensuring safety of personnel, and performing other duties as required.

         Manage, maintain, and establish maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than budget.

         Develop and maintain quality standards.

         Develop and maintain associate safety standards.
